Lindsey was a son of Henry Bias & Cassander Vest. He married Alzada Peyton, d/o Alexander & Pauline Peyton, and they were the parents of Charles, Maude, Alexander & Bessie.
He was married three times during his life. His second wife, Mary Josephine Rowsey, helped him raise his children after the death of Alzada. He married Virginia Bias Estep after Mary died.
Lindsey died at the home of his daughter, Maude, at 438 Smith Street, Huntington, WV.
