Mrs. Margaret Creager, 87, a former resident of East Merrin Street, died early Saturday morning at her home in Fort Wayne. She had been seriously ill for 15 days.

Mrs. Creager was born at Syracuse, and was a member of the Nazarene Church at Payne. Surviving are a son, John Angel of Fort Wayne and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 9:30 a.m. at the Chalfant-Perry & Pook funeral home. Burial in the Wiltsie cemetery, east of Payne.

Note that her birth year was circa 1852-53. Ages are inconsistent in various records. She was 18 in the 1870 Census. A Guardian's Bond, Oath, and Letter for minor children of Jacob Rapp dated June 5, 1872 listed her as age 20 as of Aug. 1871.

She was shown as Martha in the marriage record to Marion Angel, Dec. 3, 1874 in Kosciusko Co. IN. They had one son, John A. Angel in Sept., 1875.

Maggie (Rapp) Angel married Lewis Creager on Aug. 15, 1885 in Darke Co. Ohio and settled in Payne, Paulding Co.

Lewis is believed to be the brother of James M. Creager who married Maggie's sister.
