FAHLBUSCH, RUDY May 4, 1924 to Dr. Rudy Fahlbusch passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2011. He died in his home where he lived for over 40 years, in San Diego, California at the age of 86. Rudy was well known for his quick wit and his tireless devotion to improving the wellbeing of others. He was the son of Rudolph and Frieda Fahlbusch, immigrants from Germany and was born on May 4, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois. Rudy was the "baby of the family" and had 8 siblings: Claire Hemphill (San Diego), Auguste Just (Deceased), Erna Clint (Deceased), Max Fahlbusch (Deceased), Willy Fahlbusch (Deceased), Hazel Adelman (Deceased), Helen Fahlbusch (Deceased) and Frank Fahlbusch (Deceased). Rudy was a widower from his first wife Sue Jent. In 1991 he married Maxine DuPont and they shared the best of his remaining 20 years. He was father of four: Peggy (James) Tipton (Deceased), Steve (Ramona) Fahlbusch (Ohio), Teri (Ed) Newsome (Texas) and Bari (Rob) Evans (California); step-father of two: Cherie Crouse and Chris DuPont. Rudy is also survived by his much adored grandchildren: Randy Tipton, Traci Tipton, Jeremiah Wallis, Corey Wallis, Conor Evans, Audree Evans, Shannon Crouse, Tanya Crouse, Julia Crouse, Thomas Crouse and Tyler DuPont. Rudy graduated from both The Palmer Chiropractic College and The Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, earning two Doctor of Chiropractic degrees. Rudy's 60 years of practicing Chiropractic medicine led to many of his patients becoming extended family. While practicing health care he served as President of the San Diego County Chiropractic Board as well as being selected to the California Board of Chiropractic Examiners. Rudy was also interested in politics and became a major supporter and friend to both Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan. His political aspirations took him as far as being elected The San Diego County Area Governor for the United Republicans of California. All in all, Rudy enjoyed life and living, but never so much as being with others. In his last days he enjoyed being around his canine friend, Jasper and watching the birds come to the feeders. Friends and family will hold close to their hearts his ever present smile and twinkling eyes. A tribute to Rudy's life, will be hosted by the family on Saturday, May 28th, at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Clairemont, 3219 Clairemont Mesa Boulevard, San Diego, CA 92117. In lieu of flowers, as he was cremated according to his wishes, Rudy would request that you please send donations to Sharp HospiceCare, 8881 Fletcher Parkway, La Mesa or the First Baptist Church of Clairemont to the attention of Pastor Alan Thompson.
