Clennie Velma Gadberry
August 30, 1923 - February 12, 2014


Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M., on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at South Park Cemetery for Clennie Velma Gadberry, of Roswell, who passed away on February 12, 2014. Rev. Pete Merlo will officiate.

Velma was born in Cookeville, Tennessee to Henry and Harriet Green. She married Burl W. Gadberry in Alamogordo, New Mexico. He has preceded her in death, along with her parents.

She graduated from Roswell High as Valedictorian. She was a graduate of Stephens College of Columbia, Missouri. She was a member of the American Medical Records Association. She served in numerous capacities on national and state association of medical records organizations. She was retired from New Mexico Rehabilitation Center, Medical Records Administrator. She has worked as a Beauty Operator and Switchboard Operator.

She was involved in many different clubs and activities, such as Bridge Club, Newcomers Club, Elks, Eagles, Eastern New Mexico Medical Center Auxiliary, Jingle Bob Club (formerly Telephone Pioneers). She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons: Robert Gadberry and his wife Linda of Georgetown, Texas and Donald Gadberry and his wife Linda of San Antonio, Texas; three grandchildren: Aaron and his wife Lisa, Travis, and Melissa Ramsay and her husband Trey; two great grandchildren: George and Jack Ramsay.
