Montpelier Veteran Dies
Funeral services for Andrew Clyde Cliett, who died suddenly Sunday in his home near Montpelier, were held Monday in the Palestine Church. Mr. Cliett was 29. He was a veteran of World War II. After Rev. Charles E. Earnest conducted last rites, burial took place in Palestine cemetery, near Montpelier.
Besides his wife, Mr. Cliett leaves two children, Ronald and Bonnie Ann; his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Cliett, of Montpelier; four sisters, Mrs. Charles Gilliland, Mrs. Noble Jennings, and Mrs. R. D. Douglas, all of West Point, and Mrs. W. G. Ellzey, of Mobile, Alabama; and three brothers, S. A. Cliett Jr., of West Point, and Hubert P. Cliett and J. W. Cliett, both of Montpelier.
Active pallbearers were; Dr. Harvey Flowers, Dr. T. D. Houston, Chester McLemore, and Ed Kennedy.
