In 1980 he married the love of his life Cheryl Brown. They had 2 girls, Stephanie and Michelle. Ron enjoyed traveling, fishing, hunting and water skiing. He loved to sit on the riverbank and just have fun fishing all day with his family and friends or water skiing on O'Sullivan. He always loved to get in the car and go to the mountains, the ocean, the Satus, or wherever the car would take him. He really liked flying to San Diego every year to visit Josh, Steph and Catalina and all the sights.
Ron worked for the Zillah School District for many years driving school bus. He enjoyed his job and loved the kids. He also loved being a dad to Stephanie and Michelle. He was so proud when he taught them to fish and when they would catch a big one. His most favorite thing to do was being Pappy. He really liked watching Andrew play football and watching Andrew and Catalina play. He was also "Pappy" to the special education kids at Granger school. He loved the kids and they loved him. Ron and Cheryl were married for 33 years. His daughter Michelle fed him his last meal (chocolate ice cream).
Ron is survived by his wife Cheryl of Granger; 2 daughters, Steph (Josh) Domingo of San Diego, CA and Michelle (Jr. Landa) Blanchard of Yakima; grandchildren Andrew Blanchard and Catalina Domingo; brothers Robert (Nancy) Blanchard of Wythville, VA, Richard (Eileen) of Windsor, Canada; sister Robin (Roger) Hauf of Chimicum, WA; father and mother-in-law Boyd & Shirley Brown of Naches, WA and a brother-in-law Daryl Brown of Granger; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
