Patricia "Pat" Haslag, age 53, of Loose Creek, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2013, at her home. Pat was born July 11, 1960, in Columbia a daughter to late William Wibberg I. and Clara (Nelson) Wibberg. Her mother survives in Osage City. Pat was a graduate of Jefferson City High School and was employed at Scholastic as a Group Leader for several years. On September 26, 1981, Pat was united in marriage to Bernard "Bernie" M. Haslag Jr. in Taos. Bernie preceded her in death on September 9, 2011. Pat was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Taos. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and co-workers, but her greatest love was spending time with her grandchildren, Hudson and Scarlett. In addition to her mother, Pat is survived by: one son, Derek Haslag of Jefferson City and his fiancÈ Megan Stock; one daughter, April Vertako and her husband Michael of Independence; two grandchildren, Hudson and Scarlett Vertako, brothers and sisters, Alice Ruth and her husband Earl of New Bloomfield, William Wibberg II. and his wife Cindy of Jefferson City, Betty Flowers of Mokane, Carol Dismang of Jefferson City, Debbie Mehmert and her husband Lou of Chamois, Vernon Wibberg and his wife Diane of Reeds Spring. In addition to her father and husband, Pat was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Branch. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Taos where a prayer service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2013, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Fr. Wayne Boyer as the Celebrant. Interment will follow in the St. Francis Xavier Parish Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Morton Chapel, Linn, MO (897-2214). www.mortonchapel.com
