Wife of James Greene Amsberry of Knoxville, Marion County, Iowa; married on 22 September 1886 in Custer County, Nebraska.

"Emma A. Armstrong was born in Osage, Iowa, August 26th, 1868, and died at her home in Ansley, Nebraska on December 26th, 1943 at the age of 75 years and 4 months.
She came from Osage, Iowa with her father, George W. Armstrong to Fort Dodge, Iowa when a small child and at the age of 17 came to Nebraska and made her home with an uncle, Amen Armstrong, who lived on a farm north of Mason City.
She was united in marriage to James G. Amsberry on September 22nd, 1886. To this union one child was born, who died in infancy.
She leaves three brothers; George C. Armstrong of Cozad, Nebraska, Charles A., address unknown, Frank E. of Broken Bow, Nebraska and one sister, Mrs. Addie E. Amsberry of Gering, Nebraska.
Funeral services were held from the Baptist Church of Ansley with the pastor, Rev. D.T. Burress in charge, on Tuesday afternoon, December 28th, and the body was laid to rest in Ansley Cemetery."
