HARRODSBURG — James Franklin Beasley, 70, of 497 W. Lexington St. died today at his home of an apparent heart attack. Born Nov. 30, 1917, in Salvisa, he was a son of the late John Wade and Lillian Fallis Beasley. He was a park ranger at Fort Harrod State Park. He had retired after 28 years of working at Seagram's Distillery in Lawrenceburg. He also was an avid ham radio operator.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Houchin Beasley; two sons, Jimmy Beasley of Lawrenceburg and Bobby Beasley of Harrodsburg; one daughter, Jean Ann Riley of Harrodsburg; and five grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at McClellan Funeral Home, Harrodsburg, by the Rev. Paul Bohrer. Burial will be in Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 t(k9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Masonic Home.
