Florence married William Matthew Babler on 9 Jun 1946 in LaCrosse. She worked as a cook at Ft. McCoy, and for Grants Dept. Store in LaCrosse, District 861 at Ridgeway as a cook and she farmed with her husband on the home farm from 1 Oct 1953 untill their retirement to LaCrescent, MN. In LaCrescent, she enjoyed the Senior Center.
She was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Chruch in Ridgeway, where she participated in Ladies Aide and Bible Study.
Florence died 8 Aug 2005 at Lake Winona Manor at the age of 88. She was buried in Bush Cemetery near her husband William. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William, one sister and two brothers.
Florence was survived by sons, Edward (Edna) Babler of West Chester, OH, and Lyle (Patricia) Balber of Winona, 3 grandchildren, Susan Babler, Julie (Matthew) Lakomek and Tom Babler (Kari Filow); great grandson, Colin Lakomek and several nieces and nephews.
