Evelyn was born August 2, 1920, in Bingahm Lake, Minnesotta to Dietrick and Barbara (Jentzen) Heppner. She died Tuesday, June 22, 2010, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Evelyn married David Adrian in 1940 and they shared 68 years together until his passing in 2007 Evelyn and David lived on a farm near Butterfield, Minnesota until they moved to the Go Ye Mission Farm on the campus of Markhoma Bible Academy here in Tahlequah in 1961. Evelyn loved children and was involved in child evangelism and had operated a day care for several years, she taught Bible lessons in Sunday School for children. She had also worked in the Tahlequah High School Cafeteria. For local restaurants and individuals she would bake desserts. She enjoyed baking and giving of her gifts and talents for others' enjoyment. Baking allowed her to give where she felt there was a need. She was always giving to others. She had worked helping her husband farming and raising livestock. She had worked in the family business at Adrian Farm Supply and was a volunteer at Christ For Me until her health prohibited. Evelyn enjoyed gardening and flowers. She enjoyed reading Christina books, specially the Bible. Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband, David Adrian; parents, Barbara and Dietrick Heppner; brothers, Pete, Elmer, and Wilmer Heppner, and a sister Tina Riffle. Those left to cherish her memories are her three children, Paulette Wall, Norma DeHues, and Bob Adrian and wife Diana; twelve grandchildren, Deborah and husband Darren Kunkel, Dori Wall, Diane and Keith Adamson, Darlene and Scott Dennis, Steve DeHues, Aimee and Todd Hentosz, Paul and Candice DeHues, John and Leanna DeHues, Sandy Adrian, Crystal and Michael Chambers, Traci and Kevin Walls, and Curtis and Lori Kelly; 21 great-grandchildren, Jennifer and Blake Mendenhal, Laine Anderson and wife Marjorie, Alyssa Adamson, Nicole and Ryan Dennis, Lailah De Hues, Emily Alderson, Dylan and Alexis Hentosz, Luke, Hunter, and Eastyn DeHues, Bailey and Rylee DeHues, Ally Chambers, Chance Chambers, Jacob and Brittany Walls, and Justin Kelly; a brother, Burdine Wiens; and two sisters, Mary Ravenberg and Arlene Penner. Because Evelyn had accepted and was a believer in Jesus Christ we know she is at peace in heaven now. We are comforted in the hope Jesus gives that we will again some day, see her face to face. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, June 24, 2010, in the Green Country Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Dr. David Blake. Those serving as pallbearers are Paul DeHues, Darren Kunkel, Lane Anderson, Keith Adamson, Justin Kelly, Curtis Kelly, John DeHues, Scott Dennis, Kevin Walls,Steve DeHues, Blake Mendenhal and Michael Chambers. Interment will follow in the Tahlequah City Cemetery under the care of Green Country Funeral Home.
