At the age of 56 years, Christine has retired somewhere over the rainbow from her lifetime career of loving mother and wife. Her accomplishments over the years are many and include many friends and an extended family, sister, Margaret Lehmicke; brothers, Mark, Richard, Edward and Donald Schabert; her loving and steadfast husband, James, who has been her lover, inspiration and conversational sparring partner throughout the years, though she never did get him to pick up his shoes, which she viewed as a challenge still to be conquered. Her legacy of gourmet catering, teacher, consummate adventurer and dreamer is taken over by their four children, Cassandra, Rachel, Jacob and Mark; and grandsons, Nolan and Calvin, in whom she instilled many personal traits over the years using her patented old school, tough love, life truth, way of management.
