John Ahrendts John Ahrendts, 39, well known resident of 26 South Hancock street, died at Nesbitt Memorial hospital yesterday afternoon [April 28, 1931] following ten days' illness of pneumonia. Mr. Ahrendts was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran church and the church council. He was employed by the Penn Tobacco Co. Surviving are his widow and children, Marguerite, Edna, Luther, Hilda, and Carl, his father, Conrad Ahrendts of Lee Park, and his brothers and sisters, Adolph, Harry and Mrs. Lena Mensch of this city, Conrad of Luzerne, Mrs. Amos Mitchell of Parsons, Mrs. William Oplinger of Lee Park, Mrs. Peter Walters of Fernbrook. The funeral will be held from his late home on Friday afternoon at 2 with services in St. Mark's Lutheran church at 2:30. Rev. Carl J. Schindler, pastor of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran church, will officiate. Burial will be in Hollenback cemetery.
