Born near Alden, Iowa. Father of 3 sons, Grandpa to 2 granddaughters, Friend, Husband, Companion, and Something More, Kind, Decent, but very blunt. Devoted in all respects. Literally Unique. WWII Veteran, Army, Infantry, January 24, 1942-September 25, 1945, Discharged at Fort Sheridan, Illinois. Died of Cancer at 805 Riverview Drive, in the apartment of his friend, the widow of Gordon Ellingson. He had known Verdonna for a number of years and greatly wished to marry her. He had asked her many times. Weather she would have eventually consented is a mystery, but she loved him a great deal, in any case. She took loving care of him during his final months. Prior to his cancer returning, and spreading,he had maintained his own apartment directly across the hall from hers for nearly a year. His son, Jim, still owns the entire building to this day.

Verdonna is memorial # 183539549.
