Blanche, as she preferred to be called, was born to Canadian father, Isaac Calvin, and mother Bessie Blanche (Vesey) Schell of Robertson. She was born in a cabin across the road from where she would spend most of her life. She had a twin sister, Belle, a brother, Calvin, and another sister that died in infancy.
During World War II, Blanche worked at Hill Air Force base in Utah testing parachutes. Shortly after the war ended in Europe, On 18 Sept 1945, she married WWII Veteran Frank Wade Nettles (of Salt Lake City, UT) in Wendover, NV. The had daughter Barbara Belle (children: Panda D Morriss, Dorothy D Duran, Bambi Emily E Duran, Trista D Duran & James Guthrie Duran (D) & son Lyle Frank (Children: Melissa, John, others). They moved back to her childhood home in Robertson where they would spend the rest of their lives together.
She enjoyed tending her amazing garden & beloved hummingbirds, and her favorite color was RED--and EVERYONE knew it. She died at home with her son near. She & Frank (Died 13 Aug 1990) are sadly missed.
