Geraldine M. Butler 89, of Utica passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at the Pines at Utica, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on July 5, 1924 in Newport News, VA a daughter of the late Benjamin and Laura (Bliss) Johnston. In 1946 in Newport News VA she was united in marriage to Robert F. Butler a blessed union of over 23 years, Mr. Butler died in February of 1969. Geraldine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed caring for her family. She loved cooking and spending time with her family especially her children and adored grandchildren. She was predeceased by three sons Bobby, Ronald and Larry Butler, 12 brothers and one sister.
