Nancy Lee Caricofe, 67, 3767 Martin Miller Road, near Dayton, died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2000, at her home. She had been ill for a year.
Mrs. Caricofe was born June 29, 1933, in Rockbridge County, and was a daughter of the late John S. and Jossie Kennedy Balser. She grew up in the Port Republic area and lived in Rockingham County all of her life. She attended the Presbyterian Church and retired from Shenandoah Poultry in 1977 after 23 years of service.
On Aug. 6, 1952, she married Marvin D. "Bud" Caricofe, who survives.
She is also survived by a sister, Florence Dean, McGaheysville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The Revs. Lynwood G. Wilkes and William H. Garber will conduct the funeral at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Kyger & Trobaugh Funeral Home in Harrisonburg. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 this evening at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the Caricofe home at any time.
