U.S., Registers of Deaths of Volunteers, 1861-1865. John died at the Regimental Hospital, cause of death, diarrhea.

John died in Memphis, 575 miles from home. As a Union soldier, he could have been buried at the Memphis National Cemetery. Mark Rosas researched, and unfortunately there isn't any record for John being interred there. Thank you, Mark. John is probably buried among the unknown soldiers. Although he is buried, without a memorial, he is not forgotten. We will always remember his service and his sacrifice.
