Ronald was born to Eilef Norman Andersen and Bertha (Rasmussen) Andersen, in Bremerton WA.
He is survived by his brother, Robert Andersen; sister, Ingrid Hueneke; son, Ronald L. Andersen; daughter, Julie Howes; daughter, Jennifer Andersen; son, Christopher Hjorten.
Ron and his brother, Robert, both inherited their father's love for golf. The two brothers often played in tournaments in the Seattle area, and with their father for fun in the Bremerton area. Ron was living if Fort Meyers, Fla., when he had the privilege of playing in Senior Pro-Am Golf Tournaments.
Uncle Sam invited (drafted) him into the United States Army. He enjoyed talking about the fact that he and Elvis Presley were both drafted in 1958 and that in his second year in the Army he was part of a unit that groomed (on skis) the slopes for the 1960 Winter Olympic Games at Squaw Valley, Calif. He enjoyed the company of fellow vets at the Albert C. Kean Post 149 American Legion hall in Bremerton.
