Mrs. Ellen Ballard died last Friday morning after a long illness of dropsy. The deceased was 67 years old and had been a devoted member of the Baptist church over forty years. She said she was ready to go and received death as a welcome guest. All she regretted was leaving her children. She was a christian woman and highly esteemed by all who knew her. She leaves a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn her death. Funeral services were conducted at Big Spring on Saturday in the presence of a large congregation. We extend our sympathy to all the bereaved ones.
