Joe Carlton Allen,96, of Clarkesville GA, died Thursday Feb. 4, 1982 at Douglas General Hospital. Born in White County in, he was the son of the late James Maxwell and Dona Inez Holcomb Allen. He was an orchard farmer and a member of Stonepile Baptist Church.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Ila Edwards of Canton , NC, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was at 11am Saturday at Church and Son Funeral home with the Rev. Cleve Allen and the Rev. Harold Mason officiating. Burial was in Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery.
