Film Director. He will be best remembered as one of the most representative members of the Nouvelle Vague. During his career, he began at age 14 with the short film "L'aventure de Guy" and lasted for more than seven decades, he directed over 50 films including "Hiroshima mon amour" (1959), "L'Année dernière à Marienbad" (1961), "Je t'aime, je t'aime" (1968), "Mon oncle d'Amérique" (1980), "I Want to Go Home" (1989), "On connaît la chanson" (1997), "Cœurs" (2006), "Vous n'avez encore rien vu" (2012). His most prestigious awards include two-time the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival, the Silver Bear at the Berlin Film Festival and the Grand Prix at Cannes Film Festival. Resnais died at the age of ninety-one due to natural causes.
