Loving husband of Olga Salas

John G. Salas, passed away on June 26th, 2007. He was born on October 28th, 1921 and was a native Phoenician. He was a loving husband and father. He will always be remembered for his quick wit, sense of humor and for his love of family and life itself.

He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army and was wounded in battle on the Island of Okinawa.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Olga, daughter Carol, sons, John (Eloisa), Jim (Estela), Rudy (Patsy), Ricky (Diane), 1 brother William, 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday July 2, 2007 5:30-8:00 PM at Greenwood Mortuary Chapel 719 N. 27th Ave, in Phoenix and funeral service on Tuesday July 3, 2007 10:00 AM at Immaculate Heart Church located at 909 E. Washington in Phoenix. Interment with graveside service will be held at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery.

Family requests that in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to Hospice of the Valley.
