In the 1920 census he was married to Loretta Viner Bierbrodt and living in Centreville, St. Clair, Illinois. In the 1930 and 1940 censuses they were living in East St Louis, St Clair, Illinois.
He is buried in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, which is located in St. Louis, MO. His wife Loretta is buried there also.
