Obituary, Altoona Mirror, January 23, 1908:

Died at his home on Front street Williamsburg about 10 o'clock Wednesday morning of stomach trouble aged 69 years and 3 months. Mr Brumbaugh had been in declining health for two years, yet his death was a blow to many friends. He was born on Piney creek near Clappertown and spent almost his entire life in this vicinity. He was a millwright and also a miller by trade and for a number of years operated the Brown Roller Mill at Covedale. In religious faith he was a Lutheran. He served his country during the civil war in the One Hundred and Twenty-fifth regiment, Pennsylvania volunteers, the record of which is well known. He is survived by his wife and five children-Mrs Bertha Brumbaugh and John of Altoona, Bernard and Misses ? and Beatrice at home. The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. J. B. Umberger. Interment in the Presbyterian cemetery.
