Captain James A. Boyd was an officer in Company E, 7th Infantry Regiment 3rd Infantry Division (other source mention Company F). He was killed on D-Day of operation Husky in Sicily. Captain Boyd died at Licata on 10 July 1943. He was buried in the temporary American LICATA Cemetery, where he was buried in grave A-1-1 the following day. After the war Captain Boyd was reburied in the Sicily Rome Cemetery in Nettuno (Italy) in grave E-13-19.
