A resident and businessman for many years, Edward Vernon Alexander leaves a wife, Carla Alexander, six children, Edward Jr., Donna (Gene), Ivan, Andrew, Shelley, and Emmet (Holly), and eight grandchildren, Alexander, Nicholas, Katherine, Ian, Drew, Madalyne, Grey, and Emmet Jr., and two great grandchildren, Tyler and Sarah. Siblings still living include Estelle McKinnies, Velma Talbott, Sylvia Howell, Therese Wilmoth and Lee Alexander.
Edward Vernon Alexander was preceded in death by his father, Henry Caleb Alexander and mother Elma Blanche Barnes Alexander, as well as a sister, Elizabeth Patsy Alexander, and a brother Estus Ray Alexander.
Edward Vernon Alexander served honorably in the National Guard and the United States Army.
