The funeral of Miss Evelina Durocher, age 41, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Moise Durocher, who died Saturday, was held this morning at 7 from the home, 368 River Street. Requiem high mass was celebrated in St. Joseph’s church at 8 by Rev. William J. Dauphin, S.M. The mass was sung by Miss Marcelle Cloutier and Oscar Fournier. At the offertory Miss Cloutier sang “O Mertium Passionis.” At the end of the mass Miss Cloutier and Mr. Fourtier sang “Jesu Salvator Mundi.” Alfred Bourbeau, church organist, was at the console. The bearers were Romeo, Aldrich, Armand, Raoul and Leo Durocher, all brothers of the deceased, and Roland Blackburn. Burial was in St. Joseph’s cemetery.
Miss Durocher was born in Canada, but came to the United States at the age of two years. She was a shoe stitcher, but had not been employed for a long period of time.
Miss Durocher is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Moise Durocher; four sisters, Mrs. Linod Valcourt, Mrs. Philip Dupuis, Mrs. Roland Blackburn and Mrs. Albert Sayers, all of this city; and six brothers, Raoul and Leo Durocher, Haverhill, Romeo, Manchester, N.H., Aldrich, Lowell, Emile, Texas, and Armand Durocher, of Groveland.
