NORTON – Juanita Ruby Absher, 82, died Saturday, May 22, 2004, in Wellmont Lonesome Pine Hospital, Big Stone Gap.
She was born in Dorchester, Va., to the late Jasper and Myrtle (Lykins) Absher.
Surviving are nephews, Bobby Gossett, Killeen, Texas, Paul Gossett, Norton, Max Gossett, San Bernadino, Calif., and William D. Mullins, Friendly, Md.; nieces, Joan Clay, Glenn Dale, Md., and Betty Bentley and Dorothy Beverly, both of Norton; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. John Ellington officiating.
Graveside committal services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday in the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens. Those wishing to go in procession to the cemetery may meet at the funeral home 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
