Richard Helped Establish First Bank in the county 1873 And became its Vice-President. The Hill on South Broadway In Princeton is Still Known As "Dickey Ballew Hill". There's a Painting of Richard Baxter Ballew Hanging In Mercer County Court house Painted by the famous Artist George Caleb Bingham. Richard was a Wealthy Man. Richard saw that no Orphans or widows of the Civil War Soldiers were ever in need.
