TREMONTON - Doris Blanche Leatham Crossman Abbott. 88, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at Logan Regional Hospital.

She was born July 3, 1917 in Ruth, Nevada to John Edmond and Blanche Leatham Crossman.

She married Jed Rich Abbott on September 10, 1941 in the Logan LDS Temple. Jed passed away August 18, 1975.

Doris graduated from Utah State University with a Masters Degree in Special Education.

She enioyed reading, loved playing bridge and playing golf in her younger years.

She was a member of the Tremonton 13th LDS Ward and previously served in the Relief Society Presidency, a visiting teacher and YWMIA.

She is survived by two children: Dianne (LaVar) Thompson, Eagle Mt., UT and Jed R. (Jennifer) Abbott, Tremonton, UT; nine grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers: John Jack and Charles.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 19, 2006 at 12 noon at the Tremonton Stake Center, 660 North 300 East, Tremonton with Bishop David Lasley officiating.

Friends and family may call Thursday, May 18 from 6-8 p.m. and also Friday from 10:15-11:30 a.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton.

Interment at Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.
