Howard W. Allegar, IV, 61, passed away at his Overland Park home on August 20, 2013.

Howard was born October 2, 1951 in Plainfield, NJ to the late Howard W. Allegar, III and Mary Allegar.

Howard grew up swimming competitively and pursuing his affinity for all things US History and government.

He attended The University of West Virginia where he received both Bachelor and Master's degrees.

Living in the Kansas City Metro he was active in his church, sat on a local charter school board and was an independent business man. Howard was passionate about helping local small businesses succeed. He would often share what the Lord was teaching him and truly wanted to help others.

Howard cared about his family deeply and is survived by his mother [name removed] (Houston, TX), brother [name removed] and family (Houston, TX), son [name removed] (Indianapolis, IN), wife [name removed] (Overland Park, KS), step children [two names removed] (Shawnee, KS) and [name removed] (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) and granddaughters [names removed].

A Memorial Service to honor Howard's life will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday August 28, 2013 at Christ Church Anglican 5500 W 91st Street Overland Park, KS.
