Miss Clara Evelyn Bange, age 59, of Clarence, passed away unexpectedly Monday afternoon, Dec. 2, 1985, at 1:30 p.m. at her home.
Miss Bange was born near Hagers Grove on Aug. 2, 1926, a daughter of the late Herman and Loma Bichsel Bange.
She is survived by five sisters, Mrs. Caroline Timbrook of Clarence, Mrs. Marie Walter of Jacksonville, Mrs. Louvenia Stamp of Holliday, Mrs. Margaret Todd and Mrs. Frances Beall of Clarence; nieces; nephews; and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers (two infant brothers and Antone Bange); one sister (Rosella Baker).
Miss Bange was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Clarence and served as housekeeper for Father Ludwig for many years. She had lived in Indian Creek, Monroe City, Waynesville, Palmyra, St. Louis and Clarence. She had made her home in Clarence since retiring in 1983.
Visitation was held Tuesday, Dec. 3, 1985, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Chapel in Clarence with the rosary being recited at 7 p.m. at the funeral chapel led by Msgr. John C. Mahoney. Funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 1985, at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Clarence with Msgr. John C. Mahoney, the celebrant. Burial was in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery at Hagers Grove.
Mrs. Nadean Wood served as organist. Casketbearers were nephews.
