The Bunnell/Bonnell Family in America, 2nd Ed, by William R. Austin (pp.281): "On 10 April 1804 [Bela Bunnell's] wife Eunice died in Claremont at the age of 36 years, leaving five children, ages 7 to 14. She was buried in the Old Village Cemetery at Claremont. Very soon, Bela married (second) LOIS MATHEWS, daughter of John and Olive (Rice) Mathews. She was born 7 September 1783 at Bristol, CT. She and Bela were first cousins, since their mothers were sisters."
Bela Bunnell's mother was Mehitable Royce (1737-1813), a daughter of Abel & Joanna (Beach) Royce.
Was Lois Mathews mother Olive ROYCE rather than Olive RICE?
