WICKLIFFE — Marshall Pennebaker, 87, of Wickliffe died Friday in Branson, Mo.
He was a member of First Christian Church in Wickliffe, a Kentucky Colonel, a past city council member, and a former member of the Wickliffe Jaycees. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He formerly served as Wickliffe police chief and retired Labor Local 1214 in Paducah.
He is survived by two daughters, Karen Russell of Kevil and Ruth Taylor of Wickliffe; one son, John Marshall Pennebaker of Barlow; six grandchildren; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Sue Mitchell Pennebaker; one daughter, Harriett Davis; one sister; two brothers; and two grandchildren. His parents were John and Bertha Smith Jones.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Wickliffe with the Rev. Richard Pigg officiating. Burial will follow in Wickliffe City Cemetery. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
