Private 1st class, Charles E. Gibson was a member of the 34th Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division. He was killed in action near Taejon, South Korea and awarded the Purple Heart, and six other medals, badges or citations.
He was the son of Wylie Vincent Gibson and Ada Catherine (Terwilliger) Gibson.
