Darrell L. Adams, 62, Salina, died Monday, April 11, 2011 at Salina Regional Health Center. Darrell was born August 26, 1948 in St. Helen's, OR to Joseph Roscoe and Norma Jean (Francis) Adams.

Darrell was a 1966 graduate of Minneapolis High School. After graduation he went to work at Boeing in Wichita for a short time. He then worked for Frisbee, Dub Johnson, and ElDorado. He later entered partnership with Dave Hardesty and together they owned and operated Minneapolis Refuse Service, Minneapolis Front End Service, and the Getaway Club. Darrell then was an owner of Twilight Years Adult Care Home. At the time of his death he was a carrier for the Salina Journal and was a maintenance worker for the Salina Housing Authority where he took deep pride in the homes he remodeled. Darrell also served as a volunteer firefighter in Minneapolis for many years. He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his son Jason Adams and his wife Grace of Salina; daughter Amy Levendofsky and her husband Brian of Bennington; mother Norma Adams of Salina; step-children Brandon Fuller and his wife Kim of Oklahoma City, OK, Shilo Fuller of Minneapolis, Trevor Fuller and his wife Abbi of Minneapolis, and Tara Villalpando and her husband Matt of Minneapolis; brothers Larry Adams and his wife Charla of Emporia and Alan Adams of Wichita; sister Jeannie Hanson and her husband Rodney of Salina; grandchildren Meagan Shoemaker, Priscilla Adams, Cassandra and Jose Esparza, Isaac Perez, Chloe and Ayden Levendofsky; and 15 step-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 P.M., Friday at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis. Visitation will be from 2 P.M. to 8 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Darrell Adams Memorial Fund which will be used toward Hunter's Safety Courses.
