GALIVANTS FERRY | Airvee Williamson, 81, widow of Hursel Bailey Williamson, of Joyner Swamp Road, died Thursday, May 22, 2003, at Marion County Medical Center.

She was born in Galivants Ferry, a daughter of the late James Wesley and Bessie Jane Roberts Collins.

She was a lifetime member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. Prior to retirement, she was employed by Horry County Schools and Midland school in food service for nine years. She also was employed by Heritage Sportswear in Marion.

Survivors include three sons, Bruce Williamson of Sumter, John Williamson of Mullins and the Rev. Lloyd Williamson of Loris; two daughters, Helen Duros of Denver and Cassandra Hayes of Sumter; a brother, Mayberry Richardson of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters, Nettie Floyd of Nichols and Esterlene Hamonds of Cartridge, N.C.; a stepsister, Ila Floyd of Nichols; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a grandson, Roger D. Todd.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway chapel.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Gethsemane Baptist Church. The Rev. William Graham and the Rev. Lloyd Williamson will officiate. Burial will be in the Christian Fellowship Full Gospel Church Cemetery.
