GREENSBORO, NC - John R. Affigne Jr., born November 25th, 1923 in NYC, passed away April 16th, 2010.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday at 1:00 pm at Saint Pius the X Catholic Church. Interment followed at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

He was the beloved son of the late Juan Ramon and Juana Affigne.

John was a veteran of both WWII and the Korean Conflict.

He was a graduate of Columbia University. John taught English Literature for the Levittown School district on Long Island, NY for over twenty-five years. In the early eighties he was elected to the Board of Education in Mineola, NY. He retired to Greensboro, NC where he spent his final years.

Surviving John are his brother Michael Affigne, sister Nancy Formoso and his four sons, John Henry, Anthony DeSales, Gregory Lynn and Clifford Matthew Affigne.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Adrianita Bannon. _____________________________________________
