Sharon graduated from Coldwater High School in 1958 and attended Fort Hays State College and Wichita Business College. She had lived in Coldwater, Hutchinson and Greensburg. She was a farm wife and commercial cook.
On March 21, 1960, Sharon married Gary Wayne Adams in Greensburg. He preceded her in death Feb. 10, 2001. She is survived by two sons, Brian Adams and wife Susan of Inman, Brent Adams and wife Sandi of Medicine Lodge; a daughter, Lesa Peroutek and husband Jim of Esbon; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Williams and husband Mikel, Shawn Adams and wife Kayla, Logan Adams, Clayton Adams, Tanner Peroutek, Alli Adams and friend Alex, and Taneile Peroutek; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sondra Stull of Folsom, Calif., and Virginia McPhail and husband Cliff of Cimarron. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her mother and father-in-law, Carl and Nina Adams.
Funeral and Celebration of Life will be at 10:30am Friday, Oct. 16, 2015, at First United Methodist Church, Greensburg, with Pastor Terry Mayhew officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Greensburg. Visitation will be held from 5-7pm Thursday at Fleener Funeral Home, Greensburg. Memorials are suggested to the Chief Theater, Coldwater, and the Big Well Museum, Greensburg, in care of Fleener Funeral Home, 514 S. Main St., Greensburg, KS.
