HEIDI MEYER In loving memory of Heidi Christine Meyer of Fayetteville born Sept. 28, 1971, in Battle Creek, Mich., the daughter of Raymond Bottomley and the late Alice Penn Bottomley. A graduate from Eureka Springs High School class of 1989, Heidi obtained her undergraduate and master's degrees from the University of Arkansas. Over the last nine years, Heidi touched the lives of the local middle school students as a dedicated English literature teacher in both the Carroll and Benton County school districts. She enjoyed reading, traveling, good wine and spending time with her husband, daughter, family and friends. Heidi had a deep appreciation of music and art and drew inspiration from fall colors and the changing of seasons, especially so in her writing and poetry. Heidi passed on Friday, Aug. 15, 2008.
She is survived by her husband of five years, Donovan, and 2-year-old daughter, Avery Alice of Fayetteville; brothers, Bret Bottomley of Cape Coral, Fla., and Brandon Bottomley of Evans, Ga.; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Penn of Eureka Springs; and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Cox of Evansville, Ind.
Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday at Moore's Chapel, 206 W. Center St. in Fayetteville. A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Faith Family Christian Church in Eureka Springs.
