Fall Fatal to Carlisle Man At Farm Opposite Airport

Archie E. Akers, 35, of Carlisle was instantly killed at 10 o'clock Saturday morning in a fall from the second floor of his barn on the Governor Ritner highway, opposite the Carlisle airport.
Mr. Akers had gone to the second floor of the barn to open the doors preparatory to loading a feed truck with alfalfa. When he opened the door a stick gave way and he fell to the bed of the truck. He was killed instantly said Coroner E. A. Haegele. Death resulted from a broken neck and fractured skull.
