Edward P. Bailey, 72, of French Camp, died Thursday at his residence.
Mr. Bailey was a retired conductor for the Illinois Central Railroad. He was a deacon and member of Bethsaida Baptist Church and the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.
Mr. Bailey was also a United States Marine Corp veteran.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Jackson officiating. Burial will be in French Camp Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Bailey is survived by his wife, Eula Faye Bailey of French Camp; Becky Hovas of Greenville, Cindy McDonald of Lake Village, Ark. and Penny Wilson of Whitehall, Ark.; a sister, Fay Hawkins of Glasgow, Ky.; and seven grandchildren, Amy Hovas, Kelly Hovas, both of Greenville, Ian McDonald, Ivy McDonald, both of Lake Village, Ark. Marly Naron, Joseph Wilson and Evan Wilson, all of Whitehall, Ark.
Memorials may be sent to Sta-Home Hospice of Carthage or Bethsaida Baptist Church.
Oliver Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
