LINCOLN – Dorothy A. Banfield, 90, passed away Jan 22, 2004, at a Lincoln hospital, after a brief illness. She was born May 8, 1913, in Bangor, the daughter of Frank W. and Etta Ayer. She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard A. Banfield of Lincoln. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Wesley A. Nash and Linda R. Nash of Titusville, Fla., and Millinocket; two granddaughters, Laurie S. Nash of Marietta, Ohio, and Diane L. MacGilvray of Melbourne, Fla. She was a member of the Lincoln Center Church of God, was a neighbor, a friend and a confidante. By her request, there will be no public services. Interment will be in the family lot at the Lincoln Cemetery, at a later date. Those who wish may donate in her memory to the Lincoln Veterans Memorial Fund, care of Lincoln Maine Federal Credit Union, P.O. Box 220, Lincoln ME 04457.
