Services for Betty Lou Albus, 83, of Mexico, formerly of Laddonia, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 11 at the Laddonia Christian Church, with Reverends Finley and Martha Price officiating. Burial will be in Laddonia Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Bienhoff Funeral Home in Laddonia.
Mrs. Albus left this world for her Eternal Home on July 8, 2012 at Kings Daughter's Home in Mexico.
She was born in Middletown on January 27, 1929, the daughter of Marvin and Winnie (LeMasters) Cox.
She married George Albus on February 3, 1952 at St. Brendan's Catholic Church in Mexico. He preceded her in death on December 20, 1989.
Survivors omitted.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Tommy Cox.
Mrs. Albus attended school at Farber through 7th grade and graduated from Laddonia High School. She began her working career at Consolidated Electric Cooperative in 1946 until 1952. She worked for Bienhoff Insurance and Bienhoff Funeral Home, Hahn Insurance, and Glasford Insurance. She served the City of Laddonia as their treasurer from 1961 until she retired in 2009. She was a member of the Laddonia Christian Church where she served as an Honorary Elder, member of the choir, and a Sunday School teacher for many years.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Audrain Medical Center Jordan Waters Heart Center, Missouri Veterans Home, Laddonia Cemetery or the Laddonia Christian Church.
Pallbearers will be Derek Kesler, Darren Rodenbaugh, Eddie Foster, Caleb Foster, Aaron Albus, Cameron Albus, Andy Lambert, Justin Dake and Jason Dake.
