Anton was the son of Anders Christensen Andersen and Anna Tonnesen. He operated grocery/general stores in Spokane, Spokane County and in Brewster, Okanagan County.

Anton apparently never married. His siblings, sister Maren and her husband Jeppe Jepsen, brother Christen and his wife Metta Maria (Nelsen) Andersen are also buried at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
