LATE MR. C. H. GIBSON.
The funeral of Mr. Clarence Hyne Gibson, late secretary of the Old Sydneians' Union and of School Clubs, Ltd., took place yesterday at Waverley Cemetery. Before the Interment a short service was held at deceased's late residence, Ocean-street Woollahra, by the Rev Canon Langley who also officiated at the graveside
In a brief address at the graveside Canon Langley said that Mr. Gibson had been interested in keeping alive all the fine associations and traditions of the old school. Mr. Gibson was a
man who felt that the game was more than the player and the ship more than the crew
The principal mourners were Mr. R. V. Carte (nephew), also representing Mr. H. L. Carter (brother-in-law), Mr. H. O. Prince (cousin), and Mr. D. C. Ferguson. The Sydney Grammar School was represented by Dr. Brearley (trustee), Messrs. H. S. Dettmann (headmaster), R. Bullow, Hyam Marks (sports master), H. G. McConnell (senior prefect), A McGilvray, and A. D. Tuthlll (prefects), A. A. Chislett (curator).
There was a large representation of members of the Old Sydneians' Union and the Old Sydneians Club and School Clubs Ltd., together with friends of the deceased, including Messrs. H. V.
