The daughter of Orlin and Mary (Way) Lampert, she attended schools in Rapid City and graduated from Rapid City High School in 1924. She worked for Reeves Mercantile Company for a year and then attended the University of South Dakota and later Black Hills Teachers College of Spearfish.

She married Charles F. Evans on 12 August 1932. He died on 5 July 1944. To that union three children were born, James Arthur, Mary Elizabeth and Charles L. In 1939 she started as bookkeeper and credit manager for the Rose Marketeria when she worked for many years. She also worked at the Rapid City Credit Bureau for a short time. Blanche later worked for Drs. Lampert, Owen & Behrens.

On 5 September 1953, she married Everett Robert Cammack.

She is survived by her husband, Everett Cammack of Rapid City, her three children, James (Pev) Evans of Rapid City, Mary Holleman of Prescott AZ, and Charles Evans of Waukesha, WI; two sisters, Mae Melvin of Rapid City and Grace Shelton of Tucson, AZ; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother.
