Irene Pearl Maine Adamson, 89, of Battle Mountain died May 9, 2005, at Battle Mountain General Hospital. Irene was born to Amy Tu-Tu-Wa Maine and Walter L. Maine in Battle Mountain. She lived in Battle Mountain for approximately 23 years, where she died of natural causes.
Irene is survived by her sister, Gladys Stultz of Battle Mountain; her sister, Mary McCloud of Schurz; her aunt, Louise Tu-Tu-Wa Brady of Battle Mountain; her children, Rita Chestnut, Paul Adamson and Florine Hooper, all of Battle Mountain; Walter Adamson and Howard Adamson, both of Dayton; and Barbara Hines of Montana. Irene is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Amy; father, Walter; husband, Rocky Adamson; and six grandsons.
