Funeral services for Dakota Lynn Middleton, 2, of Denver City, Texas, will be held Monday, December 30, 2013 at the First Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with Pastor Marty Akins officiating and Pastor David Hollan assisting.

Burial will follow at the Denver City Memorial Park.

Dakota passed away Saturday, December 21, 2013 at her home in Denver City. She was born April 13, 2011 to Dawn Riccobene and Earl Middleton in Denver City. She was a happy-go-lucky girl who loved puppies and loved to play and watch Sponge Bob. She was a loveable child.

Dakota is survived by; her father Earl Middleton, Jr. of West Virginia, her mother Dawn Riccobene of Denver City, Texas, one sister, Miranda Prewitt of Denver City, Texas, and her maternal grandmother Christine Riccobene of Denver City Texas,Her Paternal Grandmother Doris Mae Gearhart, of Martinsburg,West Virginia.

A Yoakum County man has pleaded guilty to murdering a toddler.

On Wednesday, a judge sentenced Richard Carr to life without parole for the death of Dakota Middleton.
Funeral services for Dakota Lynn Middleton, 2, of Denver City, Texas, will be held Monday, December 30, 2013 at the First Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with Pastor Marty Akins officiating and Pastor David Hollan assisting.
